A talented singer covering legendary Dylan, a film festival built on VHS trash (literally) and Rocky Horror Live top my Weekend Top 10 list for Oct. 26-28, and beyond. 1 Joan Osborne: The singer owed much of her early fame to “One of Us,” a radio and MTV hit that was hardly representative of the kind of rootsy, resourceful singer and interpreter Osborne is. The song appeared on the 1995 album “Relish,” which also included a cover of Bob Dylan’s “The Man in the Long Black Coat.” Twenty-two years later Osborne has released an album of Dylan covers, including distinctive versions of “Tangled Up in Blue,” “Masters of War” and “Highway 61 Revisited.” She’s touring behind the album and lands at Livermore’s Bankhead Theater on Oct. 27.
