Besides the tweaked interface, Gingerbread's most significant features mightnot be of much use to many users. For example, the Nexus S supports NFC (near field communication). It's awireless technology that lets you wave your phone around nearNFC-enabled stickers to do things like prompt a browser session. Thesexy side of this technology would be using your mobile as an Oystercard on the London Tube, or paying for goodies using contactless-payment systems. But it doesn't look like we'll be able to use the Nexus S for any of those purposes over here anytime soon -- NFC is, like so many cool things, mostly big in Japan.Instead, we're more likely to see NFC being used to subject us tomarketing bumf -- for example, film posters that load up anassociated website when you wave your phone at them. But, hey, that'show QRcodes started, and now they're catching on as a way to shareAndroid apps.
Meet the Vivo X21, a great looking phone with a notch and a fingeprint scanner located under the display, Does it look like Apple's flagship iPhone X? Well, yeah, The fingerprint scanner works by lighting up the area where your finger is, It does take a while though, so if it fails to recognize your print, you will have to wait for the scanning again, which can be frustrating, The fingerprint sensor will show up when you tap the screen when it's on standby, The Vivo X21 packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chip, has 64GB iphone case magnetic back or 12GB of onboard storage and you can put in a microSD card for up to 256GB of more storage..
Like the Pixel, the iPhone (left) doesn't have expandable storage. Galaxy phones do, however. With luxe looks and proprietary hardware, Apple's flagships cost a pretty penny. But like the Note 9, the 512GB tier of the iPhone XS breaks down to a couple of bucks per gigabyte. (It's $2.63, £2.63 or AU$4.29 to be exact.) Of all three iPhones this year, the XS is the cheapest in terms of storage, despite Apple touting the upcoming iPhone XR as the more affordable iPhone. One thing to note is that the iPhone XR has a 128GB model in lieu of a 512GB one. To many, this is the "sweet spot" -- the Goldilocks option that's not too small and not too big. But for that model, you'll be paying about $6, £6 or AU$10 per GB.
CNET también está disponible en español, Don't show this again, "When Microsoft joined the Bluetooth group, a number of these playersfigured that if Bluetooth would go native in Windows, they still wouldhave a huge market--the embedded space," Joyce Putshcer, a CahnersIn-Stat Group analyst, said in an e-mail, Motorola is also announcing its strategy, not new products, she adds, Jorge Magalhaes, Motorola marketing vice iphone case magnetic back president, said the company isalready talking about possible deals with "major" medical and printingindustry players, although he wouldn't divulge specific companies, Hebelieves it's these two industries that will be among the firstadopters of the software..
Elsewhere, the Optimus 3D 2 will supposedly sport a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and dual 5-megapixel cameras around the back, to be used for taking 3D photos. It's reckoned to measure just under 10mm in depth to boot. The kicker? Pocketnow reckons it'll arrive running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which isn't the latest version. The Optimus 3D didn't exactly blow our socks off when it came out last summer. We awarded it three stars and criticised the fact that the 3D only works in landscape mode and that there wasn't much 3D stuff out there to enjoy anyway. This follow-up could address those points, so we're intrigued to get an eyes-on.
